NEWBERG, Ore. – After more than a full month of training, Idaho swim and dive is back in action this weekend at George Fox.
Katie Hale enters the second portion of the season ranked in the top-10 in the WAC in a trio of events. She has the second fastest time in the conference this season in the 100-yard backstroke at 55.92 seconds. Hale is also fourth in the 50-yard backstroke with a season-best time of 26.52 seconds. She is currently ranked 10
th in the 50-yard freestyle at 23.75 seconds.
Brianna Lucien also finds herself in the top-10 in three events. She currently has the fifth fastest time in the WAC in the 1000-yard freestyle after going 10:24.03 at NAU in November. Lucien is sixth in the 400-yard individual medley with a season-best time of 4:26.75, and is ninth in the 500-yard free at 4:58.65.
Aimee Iwamoto currently ranks third in the WAC in the 200-yard breaststroke after a season-best time of 2:17.84 in early December. She is also eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:03.85.
Three other student-athletes rank in the top-10 in the WAC in their respective events.
Rylie Jones ranks fourth in the 100-yard fly at 54.76 seconds.
Alexa Teneyck and
Alexis Schmidt are ranked 10
th in their respective events. Teneyck posted a season-best time of 10:38.00 in the 1000-yard freestyle, while Schmidt has a season-best time of 2:05.38 in the 200-yard freestyle.
