MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho soccer team is excited to announce the addition of
Heather Squitieri to the squad. The senior transfer spent three seasons at Florida Atlantic University and hails from Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
"Heather is a great addition to our program," said head coach
Jeremy Clevenger. "Heather is a strong wing player that is fast and can get up and down the field. We look forward to her contributing to the team especially on the width of the field."
Squitieri is an experienced defender making 30 appearances for the Owls. The 5'3" defender logged over 400 minutes on the Owls' back line and played a role in 13 shut out performances.
She attended Manatee HS and earned a spot on the FHSAA Florida All-Star Team. In her senior campaign, she scored 22 goals and recorded 13 assists.
Squitieri is the daughter of Karyn and Tony Squitieri. Her father has experience playing sports at the next level, participating in the AFL for the Arizona Rattlers and Tampa Bay Storm.
