MOSCOW, Idaho - After an offseason of training and prep, Idaho Swim and Dive is geared up to begin the fall semester portion of the 2025-26 season.
Of all the university's varsity sports, none have a season that stretches across the calendar year like the swimming and diving team, whose 2025-26 campaign will include seventeen meets across six calendar months, beginning with a road contest vs. College of Idaho this Saturday and culminating with the MPSF championships, the first for the program, in the final days of February.
First and foremost, the Vandals are bound for down the street, traveling to Caldwell for a dual meet with the College of Idaho Yotes on Saturday, Sept. 27 at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.
Despite graduating some key seniors from the team's final season in the WAC, Idaho returns multiple key letterwinners from 2024, including Ginger Kiefer, who set multiple school records in the backstroke and individual medley and claimed three individual titles at the conference meet. Holly Lenarz established herself as one of the top freshmen in the conference, setting multiple personal bests and marks in the school's top ten.
The Vandals are bringing in talent from all levels of college swimming, including Maya Salvitti, who earned a bid to the NCAA Championships as a diver, and Gabriella Stanton, who transferred from Colorado Mesa to her hometown of Eagle, ID.
