Idaho Swim Travels to St. George for First Dual Meet of 2026

MOSCOW, Idaho - Following a strong showing by the Idaho diving team in Los Angeles, the Vandals will head south for a dual meet against Utah Tech in St. George. The meet marks Idaho's first dual competition of the 2026 calendar year.

Idaho has six remaining days of competition in January before a brief break, ahead of the team's trip to Pharr, Texas for the conference championships and the potential for NCAA postseason competition later this season.

UI will face Utah Tech in an MPSF dual, with both programs among a group of former Western Athletic Conference members competing in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation this season. Idaho joins California Baptist, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Utah Tech, and UTRGV as WAC programs now aligned in the MPSF.

The meet is set for 11:00 a.m. PT on Saturday, Jan. 17, giving Idaho an opportunity to face strong competition ahead of the conference championships. The dual meet provides an early look at how the Vandals match up against familiar MPSF opponents. Strong performances in St. George could set the tone as Idaho aims for NCAA postseason competition.

Results for the meet will also be posted on govandals.com when available. The action will also be streamed live on Trailblazer SportsVision on YouTube.
