Three-Time Second-Team All-WAC
2008: Marler had the best jump of the year for Idaho during the indoor season, as he cleared a personal-best 2.00m (6-6.75) at the WAC Indoor Championships to take fourth and earn all-WAC second team honors. He cleared 2.00m again during the outdoor season at the Stanford Invitational. He cleared 1.98m (6-6) at the WAC Outdoor Championships and finished eighth.
2007: Marler earned second-team all-WAC honors with a fifth-place finish in the high jump at the WAC Indoor Championships. He finished sixth in the high jump at the WAC Outdoor Championships and earned second-team honors again.
Personal: He is the son of Jay Marler and Evelyn Hancock. He was born March 9, 1988, at Fort Worth, Texas. He has three brothers, Josh Gentle, David Marler and Caleb Hancock, and two sisters, Amy Marler and Desirae Hancock. His wife's name is Bobbi. He competed in football, basketball, cross country and track and field at Kennewick High School. He was a first team all-conference selection in track & field. He is a double-major in Math and Computer Science at Idaho.
