Biography

2011 Outdoor: Middleton competed in the triple jump for Idaho as a sophomore … won the triple jump at the Whitworth Buc Scoring Invitational (35-3.25), Sam Adams Classic (32-9.75) and Duane Hartman Invitational (34-8.5) … finished ninth in the event at the WAC Championships with a season-best 37-0.5 (11.29m) … WAC Spring All-Academic honoree.

2011 Indoor: Middleton took 15th in the triple jump at the WAC Indoor Championships as a sophomore with a leap of 34-9 (10.59m) ... posted a season-best mark of 36-4 (11.07m) at the Cougar Indoor on Jan. 22.

2010 Indoor: Middleton finished 11th in the triple jump with a mark of 36-3 (11.05m), which was an indoor career best, at the WAC Indoor Championships. She also had a season best of 15-9.75 (4.82m) in the long jump at the Runner's Soul Open.

2010 Outdoor: Middleton had a breakout performance in the triple jump at the Vandal Jamboree. She finished second with a career-best jump of 38-4 (11.68m), which put her at eighth in Idaho history in the event. She also had a wind-aided mark of 38-7.75 (11.78m) in the competition. She jumped 36-5.75 (11.12m) at the WAC Outdoor Championships and finished 11th. She set an outdoor career best in the long jump with a best of 16-2.25 (4.93m) at the Whitworth Buc Invitational.

High School: Middleton was a three-sport athlete for the Lakeside High School Knights. She competed in basketball, volleyball and track and field. She was an Idaho 1A state qualifier in three events as a senior, and finished second in the triple jump at 31-9.5, third in the long jump at 15-1, and seventh in the high jump at 4-8. She earned the team's Female Athlete of the Year award in both 2008 and 2009. She was also team captain for Lakeside in Volleyball and led the Knights to the Idaho 1A-D1 state tournament in 2009, and was also an all-league basketball player.

Personal: She is the daughter of Mark and Angela Middleton. She has two sisters, Mindy Bowmer and Mariah Morris. She was Valedictorian at Lakeside. She was a National Honor Society member and as a senior, was elected student body president at Lakeside. Her intended major at Idaho is Journalism.
