2011 Indoor: Salus competed in the distance events for Idaho as a sophomore ... posted a season best of 9:20.30 in the 3000m at the Cougar Indoor on Jan. 22

2010 Cross Country: Salus took 35th overall and was Idaho's sixth finisher at the WAC Championships with a time of 26:41 ... was Idaho's sixth finisher and 163rd overall at the NCAA West Region Championships with a time of 33:46.75 ... had top finish at the season-opening All-Idaho Cup, where he took fifth and helped Vandals earn team title with a 26:39.41 ... finished 47th overall at the Dellinger Invitational with a time of 25:36.75 ... posted a 62nd overall finish and  ran a 25:53.13 to be Idaho's seventh finisher at the Sundodger Invitational ... ran a 25:54.01 and finished 91st overall at the Charles Bowles Invitational

2010 Indoor: Salus competed in the distance as a freshman and established a career best of 9:01.55 in the 3000m at the Vandal Collegiate.

2010 Outdoor: Salus ran a career-best 16:00.79 in the 5000m at the WAR3 Dual Meet.

2009 Cross Country: Salus took 39th at the WAC Cross Country Championships with a time of 28:25.3 as a freshman. He also went 20th at the Inland Northwest Cross Country Challenge, 26th at the Clash of the Inland Northwest, 49th at the Charles Bowles Invitational and 45th at the Sundodger Invitational.

High School: Salus was a two-time all-state cross country runner and a three-time all-state track and field runner for Kodiak High School. He helped lead the Bears to three Alaska 4A state cross country titles from 2006-08. He finished 11th in 2006 as a sophomore at the Alaska Cross Country Championships, then took fourth with a time of 16:36.33 on the 5K course as a junior and came in fourth again as a senior in 2008 with a time of 16:09.5. He was a state medalist in the 3200m as a senior, with a fifth-place finish in 9:41.69. He also took 10th in the 1600m at 4:32.94 and ran a leg of the fourth-place 4x800m relay. As a junior, he took seventh in the 3200m at 10:00.93 and eighth in the 1600m at 4:36.66 as the Bears took third as a team. He also participated in tennis and wrestling.

Personal: He is the son of Steven and Cindy Salus. He has one brother, Jake. His intended major at Idaho is Mechanical Engineering.
