2012 Outdoor: Kalbrener scored 16 points and earned a pair
of First-Team All-WAC honors for Idaho at the WAC Outdoor Championships … ran a
career-best 2:12.95 to take a runner-up finish in the 800m at the WAC
Championships, then followed it up with a second runner-up finish in the 1500m
in 4:31.10 … moved up to seventh all-time at Idaho in the 1500m on April 20
with a 4:30.11 in a sixth-place finish at the Bryan Clay Invitational … posted
a second-place finish in the 1500m at the Mondo Mid-Major Challenge on April 14
with a time of 4:30.19 … earned her second-place finishes at the WAC
Championships despite entering the meet seeded outside the top 10 in the
conference in the 800m and seeded fourth in the 1500m.
2012 Indoor: Kalbrener was a WAC finalist in the mile run indoors as a senior … took eighth and scored one point in the mile with a time of 5:04.60 at the WAC Indoor Championships … ran a career-best 4:55.52 in the mile in a third-place finish at the UW Open on Feb. 12 … took second in her heat of the mile at the UW Final Qualifier on March 3 with a time of 4:56.37 … ran a career-best 2:10.65 and finished second in the 800m at the Vandal Indoor on Feb. 3 … Winter WAC All-Academic honoree.
2011 Cross Country: Kalbrener helped
lead Idaho to a second-consecutive women’s WAC team title … earned Second-Team
All-WAC honors after finishing eighth overall at the WAC Championships with a
time of 18:57.3 … placed 95th in 22:08 at the NCAA
West Region Cross Country Championships … Idaho’s second finisher at 8th
overall with a time of 14.38.4 at the Inland Northwest Cross Country Classic …

2011 Outdoor: Kalbrener was a first-team all-WAC honoree for Idaho as a sophomore … ran a career-best 4:32.18 in the preliminary round of the 1500m at the WAC Championships, then posted a 4:32.83 in the final to finish third and earn first-team all-WAC honors … ran a career-best 2:13.64 in the 800m for an 11th-place finish at the WAC Championships … finished the season ranked ninth all-time at Idaho in the 1500m … WAC Spring All-Academic honoree.
2011 Indoor: Kalbrener helped Idaho's distance medley relay claim top honors and earned her first career WAC gold ... ran the second leg of Idaho's WAC champion DMR that posted a time of 11:48.25 and took first-team all-WAC honors ... also ran career bests in the mile and 800m during the season ... won her section of the mile run at the Husky Classic on Feb. 11, with a career-best 5:04.19 ... took fourth in the 800m at the WSU Open II on Feb. 19 with a career-best time of 2:17.68.
2010 Cross Country: Kalbrener took 18th and was Idaho's sixth finisher at the WAC Championships and helped Idaho win the team title with a time of 18:20 on the 5k course ... was the team's third finisher at the NCAA West Region Championships, where she finished 89th overall and ran a 21:47.04 on the 6k course ... took sixth overall and third among Vandals at the All-Idaho Cup in 18:38.15 and helped Idaho claim the team title ... helped the Vandals win the women's team title at the Charles Bowles Invitational with a 13th overall finish and a time of 17:55.37 ... was Idaho's fifth finisher at both the Dellinger Invitational (26th, 21:21.33) and the Sundodger Invitational (27th, 22:21.59) ... scored for Idaho in five of the team's six meets ... WAC Fall All-Academic honoree
2010 Indoor: Kalbrener finished 11th in the 800m at the WAC Indoor Championships with a career-best time of 2:21.04.
2010 Outdoor: Kalbrener earned a pair of second-team all-WAC honors for Idaho at the WAC Outdoor Championships. She took fifth in the 800m with a career-best time of 2:14.91, then followed it up with a fifth-place showing in the 1500m with a time of 4:40.97. She set a career best of 4:37.31 in the 1500m at the Beach Invitational. She took sixth in the 'B' section of the 1500m at the Oregon Relays in 4:37.98 and fourth in the 800m at the Cougar Invitational with a time of 2:18.57.
2009 Cross Country: Kalbrener finished 52nd at the WAC Cross Country Championships with a time of 21:33.8. She also finished 20th at the Clash of the Inland Northwest, 22nd at the Inland Northwest Cross Country Challenge, 51st at the Charles Bowles Invitational and 52nd at the Sundodger Invitational.
2008-09: Kalbrener took 32nd at the WAC Cross Country Championships and competed in the NCAA West Regional Championships in cross country.
High School: Kalbrener helped Gig Harbor win three straight Washington state 4A cross country titles from 2005-07 and a 2007 4A track & field title. She was a four-year state qualifier in cross country and finished as high as 10th in 2006. As a senior in 2008 on the track, she won the Washington 4A state title in the 800m with a time of 2:13.86 and helped lead the Tides to a second-place team finish. She was also a two-time state qualifier in the 1,600m, where she took 12th as a sophomore and seventh as a junior. She was a member of the Gig Girls XC Club, which took fourth at the elite Nike Team Nationals Northwest Region cross country meet. She was also a three-time captain of her cross country and track & field teams.
Personal: Anna is the daughter of Kip and Nancy Kalbrener. She has one brother, Casey. Her major at Idaho is Graphic Design.
