Biography

2008: Wood had a solid sophomore campaign for Idaho, as he hit personal bests in the indoor shot put, 35-lb. weight throw and hammer throw during the season. He threw a lifetime-best 18.69m (61-4) at the WSU Open to give him the sixth-best throw in the WAC for the season. He finished 10th at the WAC Indoor Championships in the weight throw, then took 11th in the hammer throw at the WAC Outdoor Championships. He hit a personal-best 54.20m (177-10) in the hammer throw at the Vandal Jamboree.

2007: Wood competed in the throws for the Vandals as a freshman.

Personal: He is the son of Tom Wood and Ellen Ray. He was born Oct. 30, 1984 at Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He has two brothers, Steve and Dave, and one sister, Amy. He is a 2003 graduate of Post Falls HS. He is majoring in Business at Idaho.
