2012 Outdoor: Schaffer redshirted the 2012 outdoor season.

2012 Indoor: Schaffer earned a trio of All-WAC honors for Idaho as a junior … earned the third WAC gold medal of her career as the third leg of Idaho’s WAC Championship meet-record-setting distance medley relay that won in 11:41.67 … was the WAC runner-up in the 800m with a time of 2:10.12 to earn First-Team All-WAC honors and grabbed a Second-Team award as a leg of Idaho’s third-place 4x400m relay … ran a career-best 2:09.83 in a sixth-place finish in the 800m at the UW Final Qualifier on March 3 … won her heat of the 800m at the Husky Classic on Feb. 11 with a time of 2:10.79 … Winter WAC All-Academic honoree.

2011 Cross Country: Schaffer took 25th at the WAC Championships with a time of 19:40.3 to help the Vandals win their second-consecutive conference title … finished 74th at the Dellinger Invitational with a time of 18:41.15 … Fall WAC All-Academic honoree.

2011 Outdoor: Schaffer shattered the Idaho record in the 800m and advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinal Round in the event as a junior … broke the Idaho school record and WAC Championship Meet record in the 800m with a winning time of 2:04.53 on May 13 … ran a 2:06.95 in the opening round, then a 2:07.38 to finish 17th overall in the quarterfinal round at the NCAA West Preliminary … won the 800m at the Beach Invitational with a then-personal-best 2:06.53 on Apr. 15 … finished second in the 400m at the Cougar Invitational with a career-best time of 55.75, which moves her into third all-time at Idaho in the event … was honored as Verizon WAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week on Apr. 19 … WAC Spring All-Academic honoree.

2011 Indoor: Schaffer redshirted the 2011 indoor season.

2010 Cross Country: Schaffer was Idaho's top finisher twice in 2010, including at the WAC Championships, where she finished fourth and earned first-team all-WAC honors with a time of 17:48 ... was Idaho's fourth finisher at the NCAA West Region Championships with a 6k time of 21:50.67 ... Idaho's top finisher at the Dellinger Invitational, where she went 20:48.56 and took 13th overall ... finished fifth in the season-opening team victory at the All-Idaho Cup with a time of 18:35.78 ... helped Idaho claim the Charles Bowles Invitational team title after finishing 11th overall with a time of 17:51.51 ... was Idaho's sixth finisher and 32nd overall at the Sundodger Invitational with a time of 22:43.21 ... WAC Fall All-Academic honoree

2010 Indoor: Schaffer grabbed her first career WAC title at the WAC Indoor Championships with a career-best 2:11.30 and a four-second margin of victory in the 800m. She grabbed second-team all-WAC honors in after helping the 4x400m relay take second and also ran a leg of the team's fourth-place distance medley relay. She also had a season-best time of 58.62 in the 400m at the Runner's Soul Open.

2010 Outdoor: Schaffer doubled up in the 800m with a title at the WAC Outdoor Championships. She won the race with a career-best time of 2:07.33, which ranks second all-time at Idaho. She also earned second-team all-WAC honors at the meet after running a leg of the third-place 4x400m relay, which turned in the second-fastest time in Idaho school history of 3:44.28. She was an NCAA Preliminary Round qualifier, where she finished 29th with a time of 2:09.31.

2009 Cross Country: Schaffer was Idaho's third finisher at the WAC Cross Country Championships with a 23rd-place finish in a time of 20:30.9. She took seventh at the Clash of the Inland Northwest, 25th at the Sundodger Invitational and 56th at the Charles Bowles Invitational during the season.

2008-09: Schaffer took 26th at the WAC Cross Country Championships and competed at the NCAA West Regional Championships in cross country.

High School: Schaffer helped the Timberline girls track and field team to three-straight top-10 finishes at the Idaho 5A State Championships. She won her first Idaho state title in just her sophomore season as she took home the 800m crown, then the following season ran a leg of Timberline's state champion 4x400m relay team. As a senior, she took third in the 400m at the state meet. As a cross country runner, Schaffer took fourth at the 2007 Idaho 5A state meet.

Personal: Lauren is the daughter of Randy and Vicki Schaffer. She was born Nov. 18, 1989 at Boise, Idaho. She has one sister, Alyssa, and one brother, Chris. She was an honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society at Timberline. She plans to pursue a degree in Architecture at Idaho.
