Mandy Macalister enters her first season as a graduate assistant for the Idaho cross country and track and field teams after a very successful four-year career as a Vandal athlete.

Macalister was an nine-time All-Western Athletic Conference selection at Idaho in cross country and track and helped lead the women's cross country team to two WAC titles in three years in 2005 and 2007, with a third-place overall finish in 2007 to lead the Idaho women. She finished her Idaho career ranked fifth all-time in the 10,000m run with a time of 35:30.40. Her 36 career points scored at outdoor conference meets rank 12th among women in Idaho track and field history.

She originally hails from Burnaby, B.C. She earned her bachelor's degree from Idaho in History in 2007 and is pursuing a master's degree in History, as well as a teaching certification for Secondary Education.
