2012 Outdoor: Draper scored two points for Idaho at the WAC
Outdoor Championships as a junior … ran an 11:23.53 and took seventh in the
3000m steeplechase at the WAC meet … also competed in the 800m, where she ran a
2:29.33 and finished 19th … ran a career-best 11:17.40 in the steeplechase at
the Duane Hartman Invitational on April 28 and finished third … posted a
runner-up finish in the steeplechase at the Buc Scoring Invitational on March
24 with a time of 11:49.78 … Spring WAC All-Academic honoree.
2012 Indoor: Draper competed in the middle distance for
Idaho as a junior … finished 10th in the 800m at the WAC Indoor Championships
with a time of 2:16.56 … ran a career-best 2:13.74 in the 800m to finish second
in her heat at the Husky Classic on Feb. 11 … took sixth in the 800m at the
Vandal Indoor on Feb. 3 with a time of 2:15.79 … Winter WAC All-Academic
honoree.
2011 Cross Country: Draper finished 40th
at the WAC Championships with a time of 20:16.1 and helped Idaho’s women claim
a second-consecutive team title … took 30th at the Inland Northwest Cross
Country Classic with a time of 15:55.1 … placed 76th at the Dellinger
Invitational with a time of 18:46.26 … Fall WAC All-Academic honoree.
2011 Outdoor: Draper ran the distance events for Idaho as a sophomore … finished 17th in the 800m at the WAC Championships with a time of 2:19.63 … ran a career-best 2:14.40 in the 800m to finish second at the Duane Hartman Invitational on Apr. 30 … finished ninth in the 3000m steeplechase at the WAR IV Dual with a season-best time of 11:41.13 … WAC Spring All-Academic honoree.
2011 Indoor: Draper scored two points at the WAC Indoor Championships in the 800m after a seventh-place finish in 2:17.94 ... ran a career-best 2:15.30 in the 800m at the UW Indoor Open on Feb. 13, then equaled that time one week later in the preliminary round of the WAC Championships ... also posted a career-best mile time of 5:13.18 at the UW Invitational on Jan. 19.
2010 Cross Country: Draper was Idaho's sixth finisher and helped the Vandals win the team title at the WAC Championships with a time of 18:29 and a 22nd overall finish ... was Idaho's top finisher at 11th overall in the Inland Northwest Cross Country Challenge with a 5k time of 18:54.5 ... took 26th overall in the season-opening All-Idaho Cup and helped Idaho win the team race with a 5k time of 19:45.59 ... finished 76th overall and ran a time of 18:50.82 to help Idaho's women claim the Charles Bowles Invitational title
2010 Indoor: Draper finished eighth and scored one point in the 800m at the WAC Indoor Championships with a time of 2:30.13. Her career-best time of 2:18.60 in the 800m at the Vandal Collegiate was the ninth-fastest in the conference in 2010. She also ran a 1:01.83 in the 400m at the Runner's Soul Open.
2010 Outdoor: Draper took 11th in the 800m at the WAC Outdoor Championships with a time of 2:18.56. She had an outdoor career best of 2:16.24 in the event at the Mt. SAC Relays. She also ran a career-best 11:30.20 in the 3000m steeplechase at the Beach Invitational.
2009 Cross Country: Draper finished 54th at the WAC Cross Country Championships. She also finished 23rd at the Clash of the Inland Northwest, 54th at the Sundodger Invitational and 56th at the Inland Northwest Cross Country Challenge.
High School: Draper was a top distance runner at Oak Bay Secondary. She won three golds at the Vancouver Island Track & Field Championships as a senior, with first-place efforts in the 800m (2:16.74) and 4x400m, as well as a provincial record of 5:09.25 in the 1500m steeplechase. Her double titles in the 800m and 1500m steeplechase was the first such double in meet history. She also took second at the B.C. High School Cross Country Championships and helped lead Oak Bay to a provincial-record-low score of 25 points and a team title. In 2007, she finished 11th at the Canada Junior Women's National Cross Country Championship after finishing 49th in 2006. At the 2008 Canada Junionr Women's National Track and Field Championships, she took 32nd in the 800m. She followed it up in 2009 with a 33rd-place finish in the 800m and a gold medal as a leg of the British Columbia provincial 4x400m relay.
Personal: She is the daughter of Bill and Anne Draper. She has one brother, Jeff. She was an Honour Roll student every year at Oak Bay and earned the "Graduated With Honours" distinction from the school. Her major at Idaho is Biology.
