Hall of Fame
Colleen Cozzetto was a top hurdler for the Idaho women’s track and field team from 1979-82. She was the 1982 AIAW Division II national champion in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles and was a Division I All-American in the event. She also ran on Idaho’s 1982 All-American 4x400-meter relay team. Her efforts helped Idaho earn a national runner-up finish in AIAW Division II in 1982. She also helped the 1982 Vandal women earn a Mountain West Athletic Conference title in cross country. Her 1982 school record in the 400-meter hurdles is the second-oldest active women’s track and field school record and it figures to be that way for a while. In 26 years, no other Vandal woman has come close to Cozzetto’s time of 57.7 in the one-lap race. Her former record of 14.23 in the 100-meter hurdles still ranks seventh today.
