Recorded a 53-21 record during his six seasons as head coach at Idaho. Winningest Coach in Vandal football history. Went to the 1-AA playoffs five times during his six seasons. Won two Big Sky titles (1990, 1992). Made a trip to the 1-AA semifinals in 1993. Coaches Scott Linehan, Nick Holt and Paul Petrino were all on his coaching staffs. Went on to be the head coach at Utah State, Louisville, Michigan State and Arkansas.
