Martin (Raese) was one of the key members of the two best women’s basketball teams in Vandal history. A three-time Mountain West Athletic All-Conference honoree, Martin led the Vandal women to the 1984-85 MWAC title, as well as the team’s first and only appearance at the NCAA tournament. In 1985-86, Martin led the team to the Women’s NIT title. That season, Martin earned District VII All-America honors. Martin’s 639 points scored in 1985-86 was a school record that lasted nearly 20 years. Martin is one of the best shooters ever at Idaho, with a career .612 field goal average and the top two single season shooting percentages in Vandal history.
